“We who with songs beguile your pilgrimage
And swear that Beauty lives though lilies die,
We Poets of the proud old lineage
Who sing to find your hearts, we know not why, -
What shall we tell you? Tales, marvellous tales
Of ships and stars and isles where good men rest.”

- James Elroy Flecker (Prologue to The Golden Journey to Samarkand , 1913)
Much like the life of its namesake, the Csavargó magazine was conceived to serve as a vehicle to collect and narrate stories; truly believing in the power of fairy tales and their ability to connect people at a personal level. The pages of the magazine not only tell you tales, but they are a part of the authors’ hearts, paying a tribute to their memories of things dearly loved. And if you are a reader, let us take you to the secret lands we have kept to ourselves for so long, in hopes that you welcome others into yours.
The theme for the next issue is: Adventure! Deadline: November 15 (stories with illustrations), October 15 (stories without illustrations).

All submissions will be accepted digitally; sent to: csavargomagazine@gmail.com. If you are an author and need an illustrator, or vice versa; please leave a comment on the Disqus board on the Collaborate page. However, not being able to find a collaborator will not result in the elimination of the entry as the concerned stories will be illustrated by the magazine board. There is no restriction on format - it could be normal prose, poem, or haiku with illustrations to go with it. Stand alone illustrations with a short description or a story are also accepted. Information about the author and illustrator should be mentioned in the text file, outlining the country of origin, interests, etc.
